Do you think RP would benefit from a database that outlined MOS'/Ratings similar to the ranks?

What is a 31x? 11b? FC2? MM1?

I have often found myself wondering what the different MOS's that people ask about, are, and wished that I could simply click something to get more info on it. I can't be the only one? I can see it being like the rank next to each poster's name: you can click on it, and it will take you to a page that shows what rank and service it is. I think that it would be useful if, after a member populates their job, that created a link to said job in their profile. Do you agree?

11 Bravo is Infantry. 11Bravo 1P thru 4P is infantry Airborne. 95-B10 is Military police. That's all I know Greg. A reference chart would be a good idea if someone is interested in knowing that.

It would be nice "gee whiz' information to know bout someone. However, sometimes the MOS, AFSC, or Rate's have confusing titles and still would be of little value unless jobs were described in plain terms.

SN Greg Wright You have been on RP this long and do not know 11B? Infantry Soldier. Tip of the spear, I say again, Infantry Soldier, supported by the remainder of the Army!

I wil listen for comments. Queen of Battle, Artillery 13 MOS series will be the first. Army of One, One Army for all of America! A big Army has many parts, praise is for all, challenges are for fun and unit pride.

SN Greg Wright We actually have that function but its not used often enough. Most of the pages on RallyPoint are open source like Wikipedia, so anyone can update them. Just click on the About section of any page and anyone can add to it.

Helpful, sure. But you can just type it into google and it comes right up, so I don't see any rush to implement it if they have other things to work on.

Sorry it took so long to respond SN Greg Wright. I think it would be helpful to have a current and historical table since designations change over time.
US Army examples from 1974 to 1990 - some have changed since then.
For instance I was a 12B10 which means I was a junior enlisted US Army Combat Engineer in 1975
I was granted 1P as a designator after I became airborne qualified in 1979.
I was designated 11A which means infantry officer in 1980.
I went through 11C mortar leader training and later supervised mortar men.
Later I was trained and gained experience as a 49A Operations Research/Systems Analysis;
