I think you would need proof that the "church" is directly affiliated, and not just it's members. Kind of a slippery slope I think.

No, because that's an insane power to afford to the government. You target individuals. Arrest the specific cleric.

At first glance I thought "yes". Shut those babies down! But after a little thought, and reading some of the other responses, I think it would be wrong to assume everyone in the church or mosque is a terrorist. I had a DI in basic that would punish the whole flight for the screw-up of one guy. Good old Sgt Skinner. Anyway, all of us Vets have served for the right of many things, including religious freedom. So, if a church or mosque has evidence of terrorist activities, I think the authorities will have to dig deeper to find the guilty.. Ditto to Sgt Wade's & Tsgt. LaPointes comments.

Hum? I'm sure they tried this before...how'd that turn out? In Salem they tried to rid the town of witchcraft by burning witches. Didn't quite work out.
