My favorite teacher from high school was Mrs Brower. She taught us how to think. Many times I disagreed with her views and she loved it. She was always respectful and gave me time to process and articulate my own view point but she TAUGHT us how to do it. She never taught us WHAT to think about a topic, just HOW to think about it and come to our own conclusions. I've tried inspiring people's critical thinking skills a few times by posting those brain teasers you'll typically see people share on Facebook. I've had people genuinely get angry for "making them feel stupid" or because "we're not in school anymore, I don't need to know that".

I find it disappointing that people would actually get angry because they would have to think for more than a second.
