CW2 Evans, thanks for being First Responder---yes, we had beatniks, hippies--you name it drafted and in uniform for two happy years of their lives...

SGM Private RallyPoint Member Ah, for the old days. I never made it to Europe while I was in the military in the 70’s, but did make it to Okinawa. However, I didn’t drink coffee back then, so didn’t pay much attention to it’s popularity.

I was driving down the street in my Uncles new Camaro when the ends of the draft was announced and he was elated. While he was prepared to go to support his druthers were other than. I was a couple years to young.
