Sometimes I do put it off until the next day. And then I read, or try to read a lot of scriptures at the same time. I Love reading the scriptures.Response by SPC Margaret Higgins made Jan 24 at 2016 12:14 PM2016-01-24T12:14:39-05:002016-01-24T12:14:39-05:00LTC Stephen F.1255846<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>By God's grace I try to read a scripture verses or more per day <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="608177" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/608177-spc-margaret-higgins">SPC Margaret Higgins</a>. The long periods when I didn't were generally recovering from surgical complications when I was in la-la land. Even when I was out-of-it God still contacted me through the stupor of medication when he knows I needed to hear something from Him.Response by LTC Stephen F. made Jan 24 at 2016 1:01 PM2016-01-24T13:01:16-05:002016-01-24T13:01:16-05:00SrA Matthew Knight1256942<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I've got a Daily Bible Verse App on my iPad that I try to keep up with every day. Other than that I have been working on reading through my Bible, never have fully read it, primarily the Old Testament and in a prayer a long time ago I asked God if it was his will that I not be taken from this Earth until I could read the whole thing. I don't want that blessing to turn into a curse so I started myself up again. Only just finished Genesis so I have a long way to go but at least I have a goal and something to look forward to. That and since I am only just recently really starting to explore my faith I figure I need to read through it, Old and New Testament. So many people including pastors bring up lines of scripture to suit their own interests so I want to see for myself what exactly the Good Book says.Response by SrA Matthew Knight made Jan 25 at 2016 3:32 AM2016-01-25T03:32:02-05:002016-01-25T03:32:02-05:00SSG Audwin Scott1257156<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes I do.Response by SSG Audwin Scott made Jan 25 at 2016 9:04 AM2016-01-25T09:04:34-05:002016-01-25T09:04:34-05:00SGT Forrest Stewart1257720<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes.y wife and I have about a half hour or more devotional time every day.Response by SGT Forrest Stewart made Jan 25 at 2016 1:15 PM2016-01-25T13:15:37-05:002016-01-25T13:15:37-05:00SSgt Robert Marx1259864<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes I do read many Scripture passages each day, and I add that it is in the quiet contemplation/meditation of that passage throughout the day that I find God's quiet voice of support for the day. In the busy times of life, it can be good to just get in a devotional message out of the many outstanding devotional series such as "Our Daily Bread", "Table Talk", and Oswald Chamber's books. Yet, the Father has a fresh word for each of us, hidden away in the eternal Word, that can be ferreted out only through "abiding in the Vine" as per John 15.Response by SSgt Robert Marx made Jan 26 at 2016 1:17 PM2016-01-26T13:17:36-05:002016-01-26T13:17:36-05:00CW2 Max Dolan1331481<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Good question! Sometimes I don't "crack the Bible" each day, but one way or the other, I read it or see it somewhere and consider it. Sometimes it could be on the way to work, listening to American Family Radio. If it means "go over it with your eyes," then there are likely days that I miss out. Almost all of my reading materials have something to do with the Bible. Having a scripture verse in your mind at the beginning of the day makes things start off better!Response by CW2 Max Dolan made Feb 25 at 2016 3:19 PM2016-02-25T15:19:25-05:002016-02-25T15:19:25-05:002016-01-24T12:12:54-05:00
