Do you PT at reception battalion besides the 1-1-?

So I leave for Ft Benning in mid May and I was wondering if we do pt with the DS during reception.

When I was a drill sgt back in the day the reception station didn’t really do any organized PT. They were too busy getting you through all the things you have to do to get shipped to basic. Male cycles went through reception pretty quickly. You were usually there for less then a week. Female cycles took longer because the number of recruits were much smaller and it took time to get a full company. Basic Yraining drill sgt’s taught recruits the PT conditioning drills when they got to the unit. Back then we had 3 conditioning drills each with a different set of exercises. After you were taught those we moved to Gorilla drills and weapons pt. What you will get in reception station is a lot of double timing from one location to another. Mess up and you’ll learn the push up and the dying cockroach. And in PT a push-up is a four count exercise. Have fun.

Y’all don’t do pt at reception. the only pt we did was the day before we shipped to sand hill and we had to run a mile and do one pull up.
