We often think of our "stuff" as an extension of ourselves. We identify with the "stuff" we own and when we are faced with circumstances where we feel or see them about to be taken we feel like "WE" are being violated. In actuality....everything is impermanent and is designed to pass away from our lives. I feel that as long as someone is not trying to actually trying to physically harm me or others...well....that is the only time I will probably take action to prevent human loss. Everything else can be replaced. There is the sense of being violated though that we all hate. That is a fear that we all have. We all have our space and no one should be in it without our consent. So I guess...it is not the taking of stuff that I accumulated that I would be secondarily shocked about. Primarily....I would be pissed about someone being in my home...my safe place.
