I'm returning from an OCONUS assignment with family. When reading the FAQ on the recruiting site it read as if I would have an assignment before my School dates so my family and I can PCS prior to going TDY. Is this accurate? Coach, mentor and honest broker. When you have a youth that does not fit our mold you can shape them toward other state, local and federal opportunities. Networking will be your greatest achievement, their is something for everyone. Network your local area to determine who is of like mind that will make the same recommendations from their end helping you all help each other to meet the independant services needs. If they get a enlistment bonus, let them know. I've seen so many people get screwed out of those when they weren't even told. You'll have two major tests(take time to study). The life depends on where you get stationed. You'll get out of it what you put in. Key note when your recruiting don't take anyone's word when it comes to regulations look it up for yourself. If so, what are some of the legitimate/acceptable reasons they'll consider moving you for? My son may very well end up requiring frequent monitoring from a pediatric neurologist, but there aren't any within network that are local. The closest is over 2 hours away, and there are centers within our company located there. I have many other reasons but I just want to know if it's something they'd even be willing to discuss or entertain at all and how to even initiate the conversation if so.
