Cornbread was a dinner table staple at my grandparents' log home in Northern Saskatchewan in the 1950s and 1960s.

Looks good but I'll do scratch with medium grind corn and unbleached flour. The bread will have a bit stronger corn flavor which is traditional in the South. Yum....

Cornbread crumbled into a bowl of sweet milk was a common meal when I was growing up. My sister used to add about 1/4 cup of sugar to hers for a sweet taste.

Sure, Kelli. I'm going to tell my lifelong southern wife how to make cornbread. I'm thinking I'll just tell her how good hers is and continue eating the food she prepares rather than Big Macs. :)
