go to http://www.dav.org - you can find a local chapter there. I don't know for sure whether there is a VARO in Norfolk/Hampton Roads (usually located in the Federal Building) but if there is, there would be a DAV NSO there as well...

there is one in Hampton just across the water. But they have moved they were located at Riverdale shopping center but the bldg. is gone. GOOGLE is your friend try that?

I am looking for someone that has worked with servicemembers in the past and has credibility of success working with the veteran. I am doing a workshop at the end of October and want someone to be able to present on the process.

There is a DAV office on base Naval Station Norfolk in the same place they do the Transition GPS classes (old TAP). Two ladies in there reviewed my medical record, did the paperwork, reviewed it with me, then put it all together. All I had to do is go to the VA office on Robin Hood Road in Norfolk and mail it in to start the claim process. They do a LOT of packages but they were extremely knowledgeable and helpful.
