They cared for him after he was released to Britain. We ate a meal with him in the 1960's and he still showed signs of the trauma he went through. I responded with "POW?" He answered with a yes. I asked how long he was captive. He said only a few days and that he didnt like the chow so he left. He got caught up in the whole Nazi Germany mess, spent I don't know how long at Auschwitz. I don't remember nor did I ever know much about him, seeing as he passed when I was very young.
