They cared for him after he was released to Britain. We ate a meal with him in the 1960's and he still showed signs of the trauma he went through. He died before he was 50 as a result of the torture he went through. I responded with "POW?" He answered with a yes. I asked how long he was captive. He said only a few days and that he didnt like the chow so he left. He (understandably) never spoke of it in too much detail. He got caught up in the whole Nazi Germany mess, spent I don't know how long at Auschwitz. I don't remember nor did I ever know much about him, seeing as he passed when I was very young.
