Do you have the right stuff? For long term residence in outer space?

I was watching this movie, I think it was 'Moon' or something like that but I wondered if I could live there and would they allow cats? Imagine your cat being 50 or 60 and still be alive? Wouldn't that be cool?

Could you handle it? I know this much I could live at Mt. Washington or Antarctica as a weather forecaster or observer. Again my cat would take over and rule with an iron paw.

I could live in space, but we have a ways to go to improve survival systems to the point where a person can survive in microgravity environments. It would take great care to allow an animal to survive due to the physiological differences that being adapted to earth and space. I think someday we will have people who have never lived on earth, and likely will be so adapted to living in space that they likely without a lot of preparation or advances in science will never be able to set foot on earth without great risk.
