They're a non-profit that specializes in helping Vets get into top tier schools. They assign a mentor who helps with application prep, SAT/ACT prep, essays, etc. I wish they would have been around many years ago when I was first applying to undergrad programs. They were actually helping apply to MBA programs before I started to go a different route a couple of years ago. When I finish grad school in a couple of years I plan on joining their mentor program myself. Good luck! <div class="pta-link-card answers-template-image type-default">

Have you published at all? I was never able before I got ill, I'd just thought it germane to mention that aspect, honest. Also, why must it be Stanford? Are you physically nearby? Lifelong ambition? Familial history going there? A specific program you want? What's your GPA now? Where have you gone before that, both in terms of service schools, as well as other colleges? Please understand, I only raise such things to try to give you concrete things you might be able to elaborate on here, that's my sole motivation for asking. The more concrete, detailed, and explicit you are here, the more others here can give you thoughts. Specificity, I've found, typically allows further specificity, honest. I'd also consider giving in, if allowed, of course, your performance write-ups, list of courses and/or schools while in, obviously also letters from your superiors, as well as letters from any chaplains, ministers, or other clerics, as well as, if your performance would allow you to ask for it, actual letters of endorsement, both as to character and/or performance from as high a level as you might ask for in your organization. Obviously, asking for such recommends necessitates justifying why you should be afforded them, however, places like Stanford quite clearly want substance, and exactitude. The more explicit you are as to your ultimate ambition(s) in any letter(s) you compose for them, as well as knowing as precisely as you can exactly what you're seeking to accomplish afterwards, whether grad school (academic or clinical, masters or doctoral, ultimately), the better off I quite honestly think you'd be A great deal can generally neninferred from the caliber of one:s writing; also, a description of your literary and/or intellectual interests, hobbies, family life, all that is relevant, I assure you. I think, in retrospect, I've pretty much applied to, and/or been interviewed for, just about everything that walks, crawls, talks, and/or flies, there might be a few topics I've missed, however, I've seen a good deal of academia, good and bad of it. Have you taught at all? Would you want teaching and/or research, even if never having published? Are you trying for undergrad or grad level? What standard exams have you done, whether GRE genl/subject tests, GMAT, MCAT, LSAT, etc? How did you do? How many times did you take each one? Did you try to use your service coursework and/or schools for credit this far? Would you want to try for a double nach/masters/doctoral, or double major? Those are just a few of the thoughts that cross my mind to mention here; if you'd wamt me to go into more, I'd of course be most willing, certainly, by alp means. My intention is not to overwhelm you, merely to provoke thought on your part, and some level of introspection about the matter. How would you pay for such a school? Vet benefits? Savings? Loans? Service programs of some type? If so, which ones? I hope that helps, honest, I'd be most eager to know your thoughts, hope it was at least useful, many thanks.Response by Capt Daniel Goodman made Oct 17 at 2017 12:59 AM2017-10-17T00:59:43-04:002017-10-17T00:59:43-04:00Capt Daniel Goodman3005568<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Sorry for any typos, this tablet keyboard immusing tends to be rather clumsy at times, I'm afraid.Response by Capt Daniel Goodman made Oct 17 at 2017 1:01 AM2017-10-17T01:01:09-04:002017-10-17T01:01:09-04:002017-10-16T18:13:10-04:00
