Do you have any MP mementos?

While stationed with the 230th at Vogelweh/Kaiserslautern, I decided to order a few circle-star badges from a guy in NE who made custom badges.
One of our LTs was about to ETS and saw mine and just had to have one, to remind him that not everyone had the big green machine mentality. He said it would remind him that there were some of us serving who had a sense of humor at all times, and it would serve as a reminder of some of the good things and good people he came in contact with. Those of us who had them wore them on our civies and got sideways glances by folks who were curious but didn't want to stare. Fun way to advertise that we were MPs, since they quit issuing the MP shield.

The items I did pack up of my stay in Europe while I was an MP was taken out of my whole baggage shipped home. Not even the arm band was left...sorry. I have talked to fellow vets and they may have some items they do not need. If I get extra I will let ya know... Larry

I still have all of my brassards including my leather one from Desert Storm. Plus my turtle shell form 503 my pistol belt got stolen along with my holster, cuff case. ammo pouch and night stick holster

Served in K-Town from 1992-1994. When did the badge tradition start and where can I get one? I'm sure if it was displayed on my desk it would definitely strike up a conversation.

That's very cool, Ken. I still have my MP helmet liner, 2 yearbooks , and a few MP shields. My ex sold off all of my gear and uniforms without my knowledge. :(

I served in K-town in 86-87, we didn't have anything like that.
