A decent pump shotgun costs may $200 or a little more, shells $5 a box, and a round of skeet is $4-5 in many places. It's a lot cheaper than golf and blowing those clay pigeons into orange dust is extremely therapeutic. Works well for me, anyway.

Fishing is good, too. Gives you an excuse to sit by yourself in the sun next to a river, pond, or lake. Henry David Thoreau would heartily approve.

Otherwise, find a hobby you like and that gets you away from the rat-race and into an improved state of mind. Like I said above, this stuff works great for me.Response by 1SG Steven Imerman made Feb 17 at 2021 11:29 AM2021-02-17T11:29:19-05:002021-02-17T11:29:19-05:00MSgt Don VandeBogert6755020

Not bottling up problems and seeking/admitting you need help is always a good start, whether that's talking to a professional or another trusted person. Finding an enjoyable hobby is good as well, especially if it's something you can enjoy with others...we are social animals after all.

Personnally, I find helping others helps relieve some of my own stressors. It reminds me I'm not the only one having issues of some sort.

V/R
BogieResponse by MSgt Don VandeBogert made Feb 17 at 2021 4:07 PM2021-02-17T16:07:10-05:002021-02-17T16:07:10-05:00SP5 Private RallyPoint Member6755628

As our brothers have previously stated, find a hobby or something that you enjoy doing. If required, seek professional help. Lastly, the only thing that I find that helps me is to not take myself seriously in the extreme and look for the simple things like laughter, humor etc... I wish you well and remember that your brothers and sisters are always here on RP..Response by SP5 Private RallyPoint Member made Feb 17 at 2021 8:38 PM2021-02-17T20:38:07-05:002021-02-17T20:38:07-05:002021-02-17T11:12:17-05:00
