Do you have any artwork displayed in your office that reflects military service?

This limited edition Thomas Kincaid painting called "Heading Home" is hung in mine. I love the painting, as it is a generic portrayal of a military member. To me it shows the sacrifices that have been made through the years by our Military, often with no fanfare.
The SM is walking to the light, which then brings the discussion is Heading Home indicating that he is going to Heaven? Or simply Heading Home from parts unknown? Or, as has been pointed out by friends, does it signify the fact that once again, he is "on his way"? No matter the take, it is a moving image.

CMSgt James Nolan, here's of my limited edition print, commissioned and distributed by the Signal Corps Regimental Association in 1990 (upon joining), to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the Signal Corps, established in 1860 by Dr. (MAJ) Albert J. Myer, USA. The original, in black and white, was painted by Josef Nackowicz while serving on active duty in the Army.

No service per se, or even US military.

I've been fascinated with the history of the Japanese navy from 1868 through 1945, and in particular the Russo-Japanese War of 1904/5 since I was a young child.

A few years ago I visited the Battleship Mikasa at Yokosuka and purchased a high quality lithograph, which is framed and hangs in my office. It was that interest in the Russo-Japanese War that interested me in history, foreign languages and ultimately in military service, and that picture represents to me the very beginning as an 8-year-old boy to an adventure that still continues forty years later.

The Mikasa is also a beautiful ship, what was known as a Pre-Dreadnaught battleship and the only one remaining in the world today. Of similar vintage in the US we have the cruiser Olympia, which I believe is only two or three years older.

Mikasa was built in Great Britain under Japanese contract in 1899

I have lithograph "Descendants of the First Wave." It is LVT1 "MY DELORIS" on the beach wall at Tarawa with image of gator head above it.

I have Michael Gnatek's Patton at Bastogne December 1944. Impressive piece, even if it is a poster piece. I have been lucky to have lived at Schofield Barracks, HI and now Fort Benning, GA, two places where Patton lived. How can it get better than this?
