My business IS to seek out other veteran owned businesses to help. And in case anyone is wondering, Veteranlist.us is an EXCELLENT place to find veteran owned businesses.

Seems like that would go against the basic premise of capitalism and business principles. If your business deals with other businesses, you should seek out the businesses that provide you with the products or services you require at the best cost. Hopefully, veteran owned business would be competitive. But if you accept a lower quality product or pay more than you could get the same product from another business just to use a vet owned service, hen you are doing your own business a disservice.
That said, if you own the company and want to subsidize other vet owned businesses that's great. But at that point you are spending additional money the same way you would give money to a charity rather than making sound business decisions for your company.

This wouldn't be against any tenant of capitalism. The question stated that the policy would call for you to actively seek out Veteran owned businesses to work with, not to work with a sub par company because they are Veteran owned.
