Do you get discharged in AIT if you don’t pass the ACFT?

I’m currently in quarantine waiting to actually start my ait course. I was split-ops and did the APFT at Basic training, but now here at AIT we have to pass the ACFT to graduate...if I don’t pass this test will I be discharged?

Possible. The training company will either give you a second chance to pass or start the separation chapter right away. It's a 50/50 as to what the Commander decides. If they give you a second chance and if you fail the second chance, your chances of being chaptered increases

The ACFT is a test that better correlates battlefield success to physical capability. If you feel as if you are going to have issues with a specific event, i would suggest training up on that event as much as you can on your off time.

Each branch of the military has different requirements and standards. If you fail to meet standards it is possible for negative repercussions to take place. You need to focus on your fitness and also any portions of the test that may pose a problem to you.

PFC, you can be discharged for ACFT/AFPT failures at any time, any unit. You have to fail 2 consecutive tests to be chaptered out. These failures reflect badly on your ability to meet the requirements of being a soldier. I strongly suggest that you work very hard to meet/exceedthose standards.

Id say don’t think about failing put the mental energy into thinking the best outcome, don’t get stressed over a what if

Don't worry about failing. Work on your weaker events and you should be fine. Plus with how COVID stopped everything in its tracks, I would beg the question on that TRADOC has put out guidance on how to approach the ACFT. Nonetheless, don't worry about failing, do your best and everything else will take care of itself

You want to pass the test, correct? You are medically "fit for full duty", correct? Can you do physical exercise in your quarantine room? If you are allowed to do so, do something, anything, to help you, such as push-ups, walking or running in place, jumping jacks, etc. I am a senior with medical issues who has to pretty much stay at home indefinitely due to the COVID and I do some stuff inside my home as advised by medical professionals within my physical disabilities limitations.
Either right now, or when your class starts, if you can exercise outside or in a gym and have access to the type of equipment that's part of the test use it to replicate the test as much as possible.
What I'm basically saying is take full advantage of what you have and what you can do. Also, hopefully, your class will be allowed to do test preparations together and a a practice test. Don't let this one test ruin your military career (including benefits) before your career even gets started. You can do it.

Tradoc regulation 350-6 will give you the answers you seek. If it doesn't then your unit has paperwork that will state explicitly what their standards are if you ask for them.
Generally speaking, it's up to the company you're in how many times they'll let you try again but the Army answer is in the Reg.

In a lot of cases, they will keep you there and make you take it until you pass. Unless you continue to fail or are not progressing.

Don’t stress about it, when i enlisted my first 2 mile run was 22mins (Sucked), now i am bagging in 13-14 minutes for 2 Mile run, a colleague asked how i did it i told him, the more you do PT the better PT you will be able to do. Some AIT will give you the APFT if you fail ACFT but try work harder towards the ACFT.
