Do you find that services at an Air Force Base are far better than at other facility branches?

Yes. I once stayed at the transient quarters at an Air Force Base and for only $25 I got a room which looked like VIP quarters for O-6 and above.

The Army chow at Ft Dix during my Air Base Ground Defense school was quite good. Maybe that was because I was calorie starved the entire time there and they could have served me a boot and I would have eaten it. The dining facility at Kirtland AFB was terrible. The worst of my military experience. Never ending Meatloaf.
