Do You Find Browsing RP Inefficient?

It's a pain to look up new threads as you must scroll thread after thread only to find out nothing has really changed. It's like merging several roads into one super highway of clutter and stagnation.

New threads I find by simply clicking the Answers> New button, as i did to see this one. Other then that I use the trending, new, or my feed to "browse"

I think it could use a little tweaking to use it as a Military Search Engine for Topics that concern and interest us. Like anything else it is a work in Progress.

I'm trying to understand the new layout myself. I like the concept, but I've been using v bulletin style boards for over ten years. Doubt I'll ever get used to it.

MAJ Ken Landgren They did not put in any method of browsing the new links section, other than scrolling on your home page. And they provided no way to separate the links and question sections, into just the links (you can for answers). It is cumbersome, yes.

I believe part of the problem is that many of us, especially a lot of regular posters use the site outside the vision of the founders of the site. I have done absolutely no professional networking on this site. My interaction has been entirely knowledge and interest based. Because the Guard is smaller than the Army, I have personal connections throughout the state of WI. And many other users use the site just like any other social networking site.

I'm really just beginning to use the RP site and App so I'll chalk some of my current thoughts to inexperience.

The app is slow and kicks me off frequently. Could it be a compatibility issue with iPhone?

Some milestones in the Bonus section should be hyperlinked. I found the RP Universe by accident and cannot find a base map. I tried on my Mac and couldn't.

I found out yesterday there was a maximum amount of time I could click a thumbs up. If that is something people just do to try to get points then perhaps points shouldn't be given for that.

When you respond on threads and click to read others in the topics - it takes you to the front page for them. I don't know why it won't allow you to go back to the topic you were reading it category.

I don't mean to seem like a nit-picker or complainer. I've managed several systems and they can be a pain in the butt to set up and maintain. I, like so many others I'm sure, just want to help RP get better. Hoping I can continue to do my part.

MAJ Ken Landgren We can click "answers" scroll down and close to the bottom on the right side find the gray subject area buttons and select what you want to see. It's a much quicker process to find subjects you're interested in.

I can say the retouch on this site is better. It does need some work, but I continue to see improvements.
