There have been times in my life where I thought Job had it easy compared to me -- not that he did -- I just felt that way.<br />Interesting thing about the book of Job, though: a lot of people seem to think it's about why bad things happen to good people. It's not about that at all. If you really study that book you will find that question never really gets answered. <br />On the other hand, if you ever wondered what man's relationship with God was supposed to be -- now THAT gets answered in spades. We are His, completely and utterly. Even if we manage to delude ourselves into thinking we are the captain's of our own ships and masters of our own souls, all it takes it a quick brush with the real world to disabuse us of that lie.<br />Job's statement: "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord" is a perfect illustration that he understands who he is in God's kingdom.<br />Trying to live that way is difficult but it makes it much easier to understand and follow the teachings of Jesus -- teaching like: "If you would follow me you must deny yourself and take up your cross."<br />I could go on but I think you get the idea.Response by SSG Dale London made Apr 5 at 2021 3:51 AM2021-04-05T03:51:17-04:002021-04-05T03:51:17-04:00SrA Ronald Moore6878451<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Yes, I can say all my life, Though God( In The Name Of Jesus) slay me, yet I will trust Him...Response by SrA Ronald Moore made Apr 5 at 2021 4:53 AM2021-04-05T04:53:28-04:002021-04-05T04:53:28-04:00SGT Lorenzo Nieto6878648<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>The answer is never stop believing because god will never stop in believing in him, all god wants from us is our love for him.Response by SGT Lorenzo Nieto made Apr 5 at 2021 6:48 AM2021-04-05T06:48:22-04:002021-04-05T06:48:22-04:00SMSgt Bob W.6879422<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Many times in the military, people struggle to understand orders, the present situation and the "big picture"; however, faith and trust must be adhered to to follow orders. Job had to trust and have faith in God after losing all that mattered--his family.Response by SMSgt Bob W. made Apr 5 at 2021 11:49 AM2021-04-05T11:49:02-04:002021-04-05T11:49:02-04:002021-04-05T02:26:30-04:00
