The Army is awesome and I love it. I wake up daily actually loving my job - and that's after 20 years as a civilian before joining. We have all had rough patches in life but trust me, looking back at your military time will be some of the best, most memorable times in your life. Suicide has never ever been an option, especially since my wife would kill me. I said to my wife “What a great day to be a NCO in the United States Army.” She said “Old man you’re not in the Army anymore. I responded with “I know, but I sure wish I was.” I loved the Army and still do.
