After certain claims yes. If it sounds something like a three year old would say, you better check it out.

Yes, but with the caveat that I don't believe them unless they support my issues. After all they are supported by Annenberg Foundation. Yes, the one that had the current President on their Board of Directors for several years, and gave him the $50 million to distribute throughout the Chicago syndicate that jump started his career.

Yes I do, BUT I take them with a grain of salt. I also check the site and do my own research. Many of these so-called "Fact-Check" sites get their funding from less than reputable sources. Snopes I know gets funding from Soros, Politifact is tied to a newspaper which has its own built in biases.
The BEST way to check facts is to do it yourself, don't depend on others to give you facts.

I would trust the onion more than I do the partisan hacks at politifact, that's like believing ABC George stephanopolous being objective, or MSNBC, or FOX news, but at least Fox invites opposition....In the end I do not trust any media, having experienced first hand lies of what they report, in Katrina, Iraq and Afghanistan, it have very little trust.

SGT Private RallyPoint Member I try to verify anything that seems "out there". The problem is that almost all (if not all) of the "fact check" sites are biased to one side or the other, so they are really no "proof" of the truthfulness of whatever you are checking. Each has their own spin, which follows their political leanings... and most are liberal.

I check anything outlandish, as I strongly distrust the media.

Example. Headline. 'Trump hates minorities and demands Mexico pay for the US/Mexico wall'

Reality. Mexico owes the US about 50 Billion. Trump wants Mexico to build the wall to pay off the tab.

Headline 'trump is a racist'
Reality: (no basis of fact) however Hillary believes the former Grand wizard/dragon of the KKK is a true American patriot and will be sorely missed (at his funeral)
