One more great idea Congress will never stoop to implement. Similar to tying their salaries or retirement to what they prefer the military!

Unless they are a Veteran then yes. Otherwise theycan be like the rest of the people and fend for themselves.

I say "No" because it's hard enough to get in now, but say "Yes" because a lot of shit would get fixed in a hurry if they had to use the facilities...

Yes. The only way, at this point, to get the mess fixed, is to make those making the rules use the same facilities. Not only that, but it would save a TON of money for the budget to get rid of those Maserati plans (they are WAY above Cadillac plans).

VA hospitals and clinics are already overfilled and Congress members would move to the front of the lines. They need to be participating in Congress and representing their constituents.

I like the idea of members of Congress using our facilities but I believe it would just bog down the already slow service.

Hell yes. And they should have to use the ones from their local areas in their home states. They should have to jump through the same loops and hoops as the Veterans that use them. Maybe, that would help the VA stop killing their patients.

No, they've not earned the right. ALL government officials, employees, elected officials need to be on tri-care and have to pay into Social Security.

Just a thought here..

If you say congress must use VA.....

Then you are implying all Federal Employees must use Government Facilities.

Which means you are taking away your own right to choose where you receive medical care.

Just something to ponder.

No; and I don't think we need to keep the VA around anymore, either.

Hold on, hold on...

Instead of a Government PROVIDED system, let's just go to a Government PAID system for vets. That way, they can see a civilian doc close to home and still have it taken care of.

It would be cheaper than maintaining the sites, buildings, administration, etc., that comes with the current VA structure. We would save BILLIONS.
