If you’re referring to texts like the Bible or Quran, please note that they’re more collections of stories than guidelines and rules and regulations to be followed. You can get poll 100 Christians (or Muslims, for that matter), and ask if they follow their respective book 100%, and still get ‘yes’ replies, even though they all lead vastly different lifestyles. Point is, “abide by 100%” is open to a serious amount of interpretation.

Take a more defined set of rules and regulations, like the vast collection of Army Regulations. An honest to goodness, list of rules and regulations to live by. And somehow, in all that black and white, despite all the lawyers best efforts, soldiers manage to find a lot of grey area. Every day. Two soldiers can read the same rule, live by it 100%, and each live quite differently. Faddish haircuts comes to mind.

Again, unless your goal is just to see how to stir the pot and the variety of answers, this is a question with only opinionated answers and therefore, not verifiable by any means.

Best of luck. I am a Christian. I believe the Bible is the Word of God and inspired by the Holy Spirit. I do believe the Bible to be true. The Bible indeed is a collection of stories AND guidelines for Christian living. I do believe the scriptures 100%. Do I follow it to the T always? I definitely try to and I fall short at times. This is why the gospel message is such good news....because I don't earn my own righteousness. Christ purchased my salvation and my righteousness is imputed. It's like an associate of mine said...."it's like getting on the starting line with your medals on". I can't earn favor with God...that's why Christ's sacrifice on the cross is so precious. He took the penalty for me to live.
