SO finance is not as important in the middle of a firefight, but darn important when in the patrol base and you get notice your family has no money in the account. However, as someone with friends who were, I can get pretty worked up when some high and mighty &#39;warrior&#39; disparages the type, as has happened a few times here on RP. Bottom line is, warriors don&#39;t eat, shoot, get medical aid, or do much of anything else without the people doing those supply-type jobs. I also know after waiting an hour for troops to show up at the food point and we leave and stop random Cav troops and ask.."Hey..want some hot chow before we take it back to DFAC to toss it!" I do however feel that the Navy does not understand our whole job and mission and at times we are out there on line with Marines and helping provide security and force protection. We run our own convoys to job sites and set up our own defense. We also build or improve COP'S AND SOF VSP's and Fire bases. Also feel some members of other branches do not understand our true mission and that we are combat capable. Those that we work with and support love us and understand that mission. SeaBees. You can't do command and control w/o signal The Computer is a necessary piece of combat gear required for "Command and Control"<br /><br />We were always in high demand if I was at Signal Brigade, COSCOM HQs, and Data Processing Unit supporting all of VII Corps; deployed to Gulf War I, the UN in Somalia, and Haiti, NATO in Bosnia and Kosovo border; my last assignment was Battalion SGM, 1114th Signal Bn (DOIM), Fort Hood We had total control of all the posts military phones (voice), computers (data) and satellite links including the classified com center. <br /><br />So I think how you are treated depends on how you impact the over all mission completion.
