Do they still conduct 3rd Saturday "fun jumps" at Bragg?

I recall pay-hurts ordered to jump on the 3rd Saturday of the month.

They occasionally offer Saturday Proficiency Jump Program daytime Hollywood’s, but they’re usually reserved for people that are hurting on currency, and last time I did one April of 2020 required an O3 memo to go

Story.
Returned from leave late on a Friday.
Saturday they came banging on the doors for jumpers. Hollywood. Pre-jump was done and they had some slots.
I grabbed my BDUs, boots, helmet and dressed in the 80 Pac on the way to Pope. Next thing I know I'm JMPI'd and on the bird. Back in the barracks by Noon.
It was a great Saturday morning.

I am just leaving Bragg. I recall it being a thing. I can't say I have seen it done in a long time. A lot of people will try to strap hang with other units but those jumps were not sustainable.

Haven't done it since COVID started. I'm sure it will be back once restrictions ease.

I hit them back in the day, I have a question, do they still have birds available for repelling on Saturday. I went a couple of Saturdays with a guy I went to jump school with. He was a coscom rigger. I think the 18th ABN Corp supplied the birds and the black hawks would simply go up and guys would repel , then come back down load up and did this most of the morning on Saturdays . I wouldn't have known about it if not for my buddy. It was pretty much unlimited access, very causual and repel anyway you wanted. I think the pilots were getting flight time as they seemed to be hovering as close to the ground without landing sometimes. It was a cool Saturday morning activity if your were stuck on post over the weekend.

We used to jump every chance we got. Super legs acting like Airborne always waited until they were forced to jump. I jumped an average of 4 times a week, by jumping with other units, and using fun jumps on Saturdays. No jumping on post on Saturday?? Headed to Kittyhawk to jump!!
