My recruiter stated that RA will not cut an AD order until the NG produces a Separation Order back dated to the day I sign my contract. I will not complete my DA 71A until I arrive my first unit, which means I will have a break in service for an unknown amount of time, e.g. not earning a Drill check or more point, until I arrive at my unit and complete a DA 71A. This is different than what other ARNG members have to do that go through the Call to Active Duty program.
