Do I salute to colors if I’m still iN uniform but off post ?

Why not, to you have to be in public to do the right thing? You are in uniform, that mean you are suppose to face the colors/music and render the salute until it is done.

Just because you are off base doesn't mean military Customs and Courtesies no longer apply. Integrity means doing the right thing even when no one is watching. And trust me, someone is ALWAYS watching.....

Yes do the right at all times. No matter where you are outdoors, if in uniform and you can hear the music render the proper honors. Be proud of your service to the country. It shouldnt be about being off post or on post but about rendering honors like we're supposed to.

Off bas and off duty , I would think yo would be ok , but if at an official function say "parade" or event where the colors or military unit is being honored. I would salute . Pic = Camp Habbaniyah , Iraq 2008 and it goes without saying thank you sir for serving . I see mountain div. (insignia ) met some in Iraq. mountains in Iraq I thought . . try moonscape . last month was at a local ceremony honoring K9'S both police and military service dogs at the commencement as they were hoisting the colors . Even now that I'm a Poor Fxxxin Civilian I felt a sense of pride swell within me as I rendered a salute in my "civies" , a senate bill allows us to do that . I do it in honor of all our brothers and sisters both past, present . I hope this will leave you with a smile , only got nervous once when one of the passing dogs shot me a sideways glance . . oh lord I thought , here it comes . . busted . must have caught a whiff of me , you know it's a Colorado thing.

If you are off post and you are referring to colors playing from post then no you do not.
