SFC Private RallyPoint Member7285873<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So, I was just told by a friend of mine that I got picked up for SFC and will get pinned on the first. When I looked on the list with my name I saw that my name doesn’t say that I would need to reup to get picked up. I only have about 15 months left before I retire at 20. Do I not need to because of how long I have been in compared to other people I saw who ETS after my date? I don’t mind staying in for an extra four years. Just want to know what to expect.Do I need to reup to get SFC?2021-09-21T10:08:31-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7285873<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>So, I was just told by a friend of mine that I got picked up for SFC and will get pinned on the first. You do not need to re-enlist because once you pin, your ETS date is automatically updated to reflect your new RCP (I believe 24 years, but could be mistaken).<br /><br />Folks who are NOT INDEF may need to re-enlist in order to meet ADSO or whatever they are calling it these days.Response by SFC Casey O'Mally made Sep 21 at 2021 10:29 AM2021-09-21T10:29:28-04:002021-09-21T10:29:28-04:00MSG Private RallyPoint Member7285964<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Did you, at some point, reenlist Indefinite? That's the only thing I can think of as to why it's not saying you have to reenlist to meet the promotion. Also, congratulations on selection.Response by MSG Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2021 10:34 AM2021-09-21T10:34:31-04:002021-09-21T10:34:31-04:00SFC Michael Hasbun7285984<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Aren't you indefinite at this point? If you are, then pinning SFC will simply extend your ETS to your RCP. No further action would be required.Response by SFC Michael Hasbun made Sep 21 at 2021 10:37 AM2021-09-21T10:37:37-04:002021-09-21T10:37:37-04:00SFC Jeffrey Port7286593<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Many times if you pick up higher rank, they will say you have to stay in that position a certain amount of time afterwards.Response by SFC Jeffrey Port made Sep 21 at 2021 1:46 PM2021-09-21T13:46:53-04:002021-09-21T13:46:53-04:00SFC Private RallyPoint Member7286947<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>You should already be indef, you can't reenlist anymore. Once you pin your new ETS will be 24 years, you'll need to fill three years as a SFC to retire. Every time you promote, your ETS will change to the latest possible date you can stay in the ArmyResponse by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 21 at 2021 3:55 PM2021-09-21T15:55:03-04:002021-09-21T15:55:03-04:00CSM Darieus ZaGara7287010<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Pretty powerful friend, or not so much.
