You’d have to find a recruiter who is willing to work with you. Then you’d have to have a statement written of what happened that lead to your discharge. Once you have a packet lined up with all of the necessary paperwork it would get sent up to the recruiting command of the Army, and it’d be their call. The chances may be slim. Were you an entry-level seperation?Response by 1LT Kevin Chapman made Sep 4 at 2018 1:57 AM2018-09-04T01:57:24-04:002018-09-04T01:57:24-04:001LT Kevin Chapman3935393<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I see that you were NG. If you stay at that level, it’ll have to get cleared multiple steps before it even reaches Recruiting command. The battalion and Brigade level commander would have to sign on passing your waiver through or denying it. And then if they sign it would get forwarded to your state TAG (adjutant General) for their approval and then it would go to the recruiting command. Your chances may be slim but it’s worth a try.Response by 1LT Kevin Chapman made Sep 4 at 2018 2:00 AM2018-09-04T02:00:24-04:002018-09-04T02:00:24-04:00PFC Private RallyPoint Member3935433<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>No I passed basic was discharged in my unitResponse by PFC Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 4 at 2018 3:17 AM2018-09-04T03:17:35-04:002018-09-04T03:17:35-04:00SSgt Private RallyPoint Member3936285<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div><a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="1578895" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/1578895-11b-infantryman">PFC Private RallyPoint Member</a> If it was for a medical reason, you will need a novel of documentation regarding said condition and proof that it no longer is an issue. You will need:<br />1) a kickass recruiter who won't disappear at the first sign of difficulty w/ your packet<br />2) a waiver just to go to MEPS<br />3) MEPS to clear you<br />4) a Surgeon General's waiver to re-enlist<br /><br />Those are the steps I had to take to get back in w/ an RE-3 Code due to a medical discharge. It took me almost 16 years to find a recruiter who wasn't scared to take on my packet.Response by SSgt Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 4 at 2018 12:17 PM2018-09-04T12:17:18-04:002018-09-04T12:17:18-04:002018-09-03T21:54:39-04:00
