If Jack-o-lanterns are serious threats then battery powered flashlights should also be a threat.
Most people use battery powered lights in pumpkins where I live. I am sure some people use candles which are equivalent to the vastly powerful one candle power. I think think Obama administration's DOE has probably been smoking some serious stuff to be concerned about Jack-o-lanterns.

YES!!! the candle (if you use candle) or electricity ( if you use light bulb)!!! When the pumpkin decompose, it also give out green house gas!!!

You know what contributes to global warming? Being closer to the sun. The earth does not travel around the sun in a circle. Learned that in the 6th grade. Mystery solved.

I literally laughed when I read this in the news yesterday. To think that pumpkins is the root of all evil for global warming. What a laugh, I wonder how much that study cost us tax payers? haha!
