SGT Private RallyPoint Member 6775886

I printed my college transcript at home and took it to my s1 to have it updated to my erb but the SSG working there wouldn’t accept it because it wasn’t sealed. However, A couple of semesters ago, a SGT did accept the transcript in the same format this one was. Do they really have to be sealed in order to be accepted? I’ve looked everywhere I could think of, but can’t find answers. If this were so, SMs would be paying for transcripts every semester, which would be ridiculous. You never know when an employer or job application will required it (usually government jobs).

I enlisted at 38, and had to go ALL THE WAY BACK to my high school for my transcripts from 1991, even in the face of the fact at that time I entered the military with an MBA, 2-BS degrees and 1-AA then yea having recent official transcripts is not the end of the world. That's so that Soldiers can't Adobe Pro them and add a few extra semester hours or grades. While someone may have accepted some transcripts that were not sealed, it doesn't mean that's what they were supposed to do.
