Do 91Ls get to do their job often or do they get pulled for details a lot?

I'm thinking about going back Active Duty as a mechanic. Do 91L get to do their job often or do they get pulled for details a lot?

Depends on what unit you go to. I currently in Korea part of an aviation battalion doing the job of a 91B.

Well as national guard I actually rarely work on the equipment I was trained to work on.

It depends on what kind of unit you are assigned to if in an engineering unit you will be workin but in a quartermaster or other unit where you don't have a lot of equipment then you will be ......

Mechanics in general get pulled for detail. Maintenance platoons are usually the biggest in platoons, so they tax the hell out of them for tasking. Been like that for the last 19 years I've been in.

Try to go airborne when you go active an you’ll have plenty of work if your looking for the work go to the front line
