You would not only be duty bound to refuse, you would be duty bound to actively fight those who would follow the order. It also says "Bear true faith and alligence to the same." The constitution is were your true alligence belongs. If an officer were to give that order, everyone whom that order filtered down from would be an enemy of the constitution. Following Hurricane Katrina in 2005 units of the LA Army National Guard assisted local law enforcement in confiscating firearms from law abiding citizens. Granted, the units were under the control of the Governor, and hadn't been federalized, but they were the same Soldiers and Commanders carrying out the illegal confiscation of firearms. The scary thing is that there are far too many service members who would carry out those orders again in the future.
