I think it may of helped with stress a little during deployment, but not worth the effects down the road. It helped deal with the stress. It also was the only way you could even imagine stepping outside to stand around for 5 minutes. <br /><br />It was also terrible health-wise. Just a bad, expensive, dirty unhealthy habit. Quit in 1967 and now a smoking Nazi. No, not a Nazi that smokes. I detest smoking, particularly in a car with kids. Yes, in a fashion it calmed my stress. But then, it was due to me taking a 5-10 min smoke break away from everyone.
