Yes I saw it and yes I cried. My dad. Passed away on January 1 and had a military funeral and it was hard to watch the Flag covered coffin.

It was a great film. I was surprised. I put it on as a filler movie, figured I would watch the first twenty minutes before I had to leave my house. Wound up going home later watching the whole thing from the beginning, and I have watched it one more time since then. It really does have some powerful images in it.

It was a very good movie. Kevin Bacon did a nice job in it. The message about the sacrifice of those that gave all and their famliies along with the professional work done by many to honor and prepare the deceased for their final trip home should be required viewing in our schools (as much as I hate compulsory anything).

A very impactful movie. I was a Mortuary NCOIC on several deployments and had the honor of guarding our fallen comrades while they were waiting to be sent home to their families. My career field in the USAF also has duties/rotations through Dover, so many of my friends have dealt with what this movie depicts. I was also in charge of the Honor Guard at Hanscom AFB which covered the entire Northeast corner of our country. I personally presented 7 flags to grieving family members. With that being said the movie really hit home with me more than most, and I feel that the movie and Kevin Bacon job showing perceptions and how they transition to realities for all.

Liked the movie. It came out at the same time as my Brother-in-law's movie "The Messenger". Both dealt with the topic of handling the stress of death due to combat. I thought Kevin Bacon did a ok job portraying.

I liked Woody Harrelson though in The Messenger, I found him to be more relate-able.

I couldn't keep a dry eye through it. You know a great many of our brothers and sisters are dealing with things like survivor's guilt along with other PTS symptoms. You hope that in some way doing something like Kevin Bacon's character did in some way atones for the "sin of living".

Sorry to say that's a big nope on the movie...not much personal time when raising & fostering 3 of my grandchildren. I'll wait till it hits the cable network or dvd... thanks....Terri

I couldn't stop thinking about my friend SFC Chris Robinson - kept wondering who brought him home. His father who I served with in the same BN. Very hard movie to watch. I can only imagine what a humbling experience it would be to escort someone home.

Kind of tough to watch in places, but at the same time even harder to look away. Great movie.
