I stayed here in 2006 as an E3 and the room rates are by your pay grade. It was beautiful! Its super close to Munich and to Austria. We went in August and took trips offered at the hotel to Tirol Austria to go canyoning and white water rafting. We also signed up for a tour of Hitlers Eagles Nest and saw the concentration camp of Dachau. They have an indoor climbing wall, and winter offers trips up the Alps to ski and snowboard. Yes, I remember staying there in 1979 or so MSgt Private RallyPoint Member. That is a beautiful area within Germany at the southern part of Bavaria.

I myself never got to Garmish, but my wife a German citizen used to vacation with her family there almost yearly!

My wife and I stayed in one of the hotels in Garmisch back in 1981 just before my daughter was born. it was pretty good back then. It should be much better know.

I'll be going there within the next couple months, I've heard that their spa is really nice.
