Believe it or not I actually cook with Spam...I make a really awesome fried rice with it and Japanese Yaki Soba and some other things.
Spam is not the yucky bad fake ham stuff it used to be.

We often have spam, and sometimes it even becomes the requested meal.

Have you every visited the Spam museum? It is in Austin MN (I think) and it is really quite an interesting place.

However, the Spam underwear is a little to much :)

I am glad that you like spam but I have never liked it Sgt Kelli Mays.
My parents were introduced to spam during the war years in England. Since they associated it with the rationing period and sacrifices of reduced fresh meat, etc. they did not prepare it for me or my younger sisters. Personally I always preferred corned beef eaten cold out of the tin and Habbersetts scrapple fried - which I learned how to dod as a young teenager.
I understand many like spam; but, I have never developed a taste for it.
On the other hand I am curious why junk email is referred to as spam. :-)

We ate it when I was a kid. That and fried bologna samich, but haven't eaten it in years. Kinda like ramon noodles, when that was all I could afford it was ok.

I lived/was stationed in Hawaii for 3 years so I developed a taste for SPAM musubi and all other things spam.
