Unfortunately the Federal government and VA do not have a stellar record when it comes to efficient use of federal funding - taxpayer dollars.Response by LTC Stephen F. made Sep 20 at 2015 3:13 PM2015-09-20T15:13:17-04:002015-09-20T15:13:17-04:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member979951<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I am so happy to read about this <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="742174" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/742174-sgt-kelli-mays">Sgt Kelli Mays</a>. Hopefully all of the money will go towards helping these athletes. This is near and dear to me because last year one of my nephews right leg was amputated. It hasn't slowed him down one bit. He is an excellent athlete and is back to boating, waterskiing, lifting weights, and anything else he puts his mind to. I hope this program helps those vets that want to help themselves.Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 20 at 2015 4:22 PM2015-09-20T16:22:42-04:002015-09-20T16:22:42-04:00SSgt Alex Robinson980051<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>thanks for sharing <a class="dark-link bold-link" role="profile-hover" data-qtip-container="body" data-id="742174" data-source-page-controller="question_response_contents" href="/profiles/742174-sgt-kelli-mays">Sgt Kelli Mays</a>Response by SSgt Alex Robinson made Sep 20 at 2015 5:12 PM2015-09-20T17:12:43-04:002015-09-20T17:12:43-04:00MSgt Curtis Ellis1095048<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>This is awesome and definitely beneficial to our veterans!Response by MSgt Curtis Ellis made Nov 8 at 2015 5:07 AM2015-11-08T05:07:36-05:002015-11-08T05:07:36-05:00CH (MAJ) Thomas Conner4396701<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Not to "piss in your cornflakes," but a lot of us who used to be active, simply don't know what is available. In my mind it is the ultimate team game. 4 to a team or rink. If you have a curling club in your are, stop in and sign up to play. If you can get a number of vets to participate, and stick with it, a grant can be pursued to help with the cost. I am a level 2 instructor or I should say I was. loved teaching the game and getting vets involved. Just wanted to put it out there.Response by SN Donald Hoffman made Aug 24 at 2019 12:03 AM2019-08-24T00:03:53-04:002019-08-24T00:03:53-04:002015-09-20T14:19:28-04:00
