Gonna miss this Airline... :(<br /><br />PHOENIX (AP)-- PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- The final US Airways flight made its final round trip journey Friday between Philadelphia and San Francisco.<br />The plane is Flight 1939, named for the airline's founding year.<br />The flight departed from Philadelphia International Airport at 10:36 a.m. Friday.<br />The Airbus A321 made scheduled stops in Charlotte, North Carolina and Phoenix before going on to San Francisco. It will be returning as a red-eye flight back to Philadelphia on Saturday.<br />Flight 1939 taxied under a water arch as it made its way to its gate, A7, at Sky Harbor International Airport Friday afternoon.<br />All future flights will fly under the American Airlines banner, following the completion of a merger announced in 2013.<br />US Airways was formed in Pittsburgh as All American Aviation.
