The Air Force and Weather (WX) has enjoyed a long history and has changed with the times. The 557th Weather Wing will be the new designation and there will be an additional 400 personnel

I am not in total agreement with some of these changes particularly the loss of ROS sites. These sites are now automated with a corresponding degradation of weather observations. Hopefully this will be fixed one day.

I've heard and am seeing the progress of how we're getting rid of the HUB system and will be training future 3-lvls at our respective "forward observing" locations.
