There is one in San Diego called... wait for it... Prohibition. It's a cool bar, styled after the speakeasy era. Rumor has it that it was one, but who knows.

First there was the Home Wine resurrection when I was about 10 then there was the Home Brew Revolution with a rebirth of the Small to Medium size Brewery and then it has evolved to Small Distillery. All Wonderful in my book but of course I would say that my Grandfather and Father taught me to make wine at 12 and my Grandfather ran a Beergarten in St Louis Shortly after Prohibition (And I suspect before).

I never saw any of those, but the most unique night out I can recall was at the 100th Bomb Group next to the Cleveland Airport. They had a WWII guard shack at the entryway, a façade that looked like a bombed French Chateau, WWII memorabilia inside and out. The Men's room was sandbagged and had Churchill radio talks going over the PA system.
