Hoover and Roosevelt(who was pres when the Pentagon was built) were personal and political enemies. No wonder it was bulldozed. And much history we are told about WWII is not right when heard from others. You should read 'Freedom Betrayed" by Herbert Hoover edited by George Nash.

For a glimpse of what used to be in American history books before WWII and somewhat thereafter you should read Charles Beard (he wrote all the history books) before he was black-balled by the MSM, FDR supporters-commie democrat liberals and the liberal academic clique. Try "President Roosevelt and the Coming of the War 1941" - Beard

Regards Response by SPC Christopher Perrien made Nov 28 at 2015 4:05 PM 2015-11-28T16:05:36-05:00 2015-11-28T16:05:36-05:00 CPT Private RallyPoint Member 1137247

Great post! I hated the Pentagon, My Guys did installations and being the Tech Boss I would occasionally go over there to check up. Inevitably, I would get lost in that Bastard and my ETs loved busting my Chops about it too! Thus the next design was eventually being Reagan National Airport a few clicks away.
