Hoover and Roosevelt(who was pres when the Pentagon was built) were personal and political enemies. No wonder it was bulldozed. And much history we are told about WWII is not right when heard from others. You should read 'Freedom Betrayed" by Herbert Hoover edited by George Nash. <br /><br />For a glimpse of what used to be in American history books before WWII and somewhat thereafter you should read Charles Beard (he wrote all the history books) before he was black-balled by the MSM, FDR supporters-commie democrat liberals and the liberal academic clique. I hated the Pentagon, My Guys did installations and being the Tech Boss I would occasionally go over there to check up.
