His nickname was pizza face because he had been severely burned in an accident and his face seemed to have pepperonis on it. His whole face was horribly disfigured. <br />If the bone structure is not altered which can happen in intense heat, then a face transplant could make sense. Alternately I would expect skin grafts from the burned person could be used as well. Cells will hopefully be able to be "recoded" to assist in this process. LTC Stephen F. It was astonishing how the transplant looked normal. I've seen other news on a face transplant, but they looked like they had a face transplant. This guy looked normal and no significant scars could be seen. Who would have thought a man in a motorcycle accident, face could be used for this? I was impressed that he could have a sense of humor about such a terrible wound. Capt Seid Waddell Fri, 20 Nov 2015 00:38:58 -0500 2015-11-20T00:38:58-05:00 2015-11-19T13:05:02-05:00
