No I didn't know that Paul McCartney had a net worth of $1.2 Billion Sgt Kelli Mays. It was interesting to see that the living and dead Beatles had the highest net worth by far of the top 20. John Lennon [$800 Million]. George Harrison [$400 Million] and Ringo Starr [$300 Million] with the Rolling Stones and Kiss coming in 2nd and 3rd as far as group net worth.

He would be worth even more if Michael Jackson hadn't hijacked the publishing rights to the Beatles catalog. The way I understand it, Michael sought Paul's advice about investing, to which Paul suggested that publishing rights is a very good investment...but little did he know that Michael had zeroed-in on the Beatles catalog soon afterward. Paul teamed with Yoko Ono to try to out-maneuver Michael's acquisition but they failed because Michael was just too big at that time, and had Sony Corp backing him. It was a huge mess, really, but Paul has done quite well despite it. I think he has managed to get SOME of those publishing rights since Michael died, but I have not read much about it to this point.
