Did you know Fox News suspends two commentators for profanity while criticizing Obama? Unprofessional, but does it get the point across?

These are paid professionals. They may not like the President, but when you are getting paid to do a job, be a professional and do the job! As a professional, you should be smart enough to make your point and show your sentiment without calling anyone out of their name or with the use of profanity. Doing so only show their ignorance... For anyone who knows Ms Dash, this is probably expected behavior, but I found this very troubling coming from (Lt. Col. Ret) Ralph Peters... Am I making too much out of this? What are your thoughts?

"Ralph Peters, a Fox News "strategic analyst," called the president a "total pu---" who "doesn't want to hurt our enemies."

A couple of hours later Stacey Dash, a Fox contributor, said the president "didn't give a sh--" about Sunday night's terrorism speech.
"Earlier today, Fox contributors Lt. Col. Ralph Peters and Stacey Dash made comments on different programs that were completely inappropriate and unacceptable for our air," Fox senior executive vice president Bill Shine said.
"Fox Business Network and Fox News Channel do not condone the use of such language, and have suspended both Peters and Dash for two weeks," he said.

Dash's profane remark was partially bleeped during "Outnumbered," a lunchtime talk show on Fox News.
Peters' comments were not bleeped at all. He spoke to anchor Stuart Varney on the Fox Business Network, a smaller sister of Fox News.
Varney let him speak for over a minute, then told Peters, "You can't use language like that on the program, OK?"

Varney followed up again later and called on Peters to apologize, which he did. Then Peters continued to demand stronger military action against ISIS.
"I do apologize for giving into my anger, but... I feel like you know the American people understand where I'm coming from on this," Peters said. "My choice of words was incorrect, but my sentiment, I think, is shared by many."
The White House had no immediate comment.
Dash said in a tweet she was willingly paying the consequences for her comment.

Although Fox is a home for daily conservative criticism of Obama, vulgarities from the commentators are very rare.

Both Fox News and Fox Business are cable channels, so they're not subject to the government regulations that police profanities broadcast over the public airwaves.
Media Matters, a liberal anti-Fox monitoring organization, almost immediately flagged the Peters profanity, which caused it to get widespread attention on the web on Monday."

The words didn't bother me, but I can understand why Fox would want to police up that kind of talk on their broadcasts.

On a related note, I chuckled at the false bravado and manufactured anger. I view many of the Fox pundits as little more than paid actors/actresses who are pushing the network's agenda. I know that's cynical, but much of their talking points come across as disingenuous, and being nothing more than politically motivated.

a lot of people feel that way. I was stationed at Norton AFB. I spent a lot of time in the Inland Center. Obama had a chance to p bring us together. But he scolds us and says it is our fault. And his AG will prosecute anyone who says bad things about Islam. There are more hate crimes against Jews. And Hillary and Kerry has blamed us. Somehow it is our fault.

I saw Ms Dash's comment live on TV. That was not contrived. She was genuinely pissed at the President.
I have to admit, I was surprised when I heard it. She was very agitated for the duration of the show, no doubt the producers were talking in her ear.

MSgt Curtis Ellis - I have absolutely no problem with what they said because it was true. I understand the Fox position, but disagree with it.

I have heard much "worse" (if you want to call it that) from liberal commentators without a word about it. All the BS "outrage" is just that... BS.

Obama is a pussy and he does not give a shit about terrorism. The truth hurts, but it should not be stifled.

Dashs' comment was an expletive, however Peters' was not. It shows that maybe some of Foxs execs are PUSSIES!
