Okay...so what the heck is a Zombie Fest? I can't even imagine what goes on at these things, but apparently someone didn't like it and took his SEMI AUTOMATIC Hand gun and stared firing on the Zombies...killing one and wounding quite a few.

Sgt Kelli Mays If you've ever seen the show "The Walking Dead", then you already know what it's about......just a lot of people dressed up in pale face paint, fake blood and ripped clothing. It made it difficult to identify exactly who had been injured, and the shooter probably got away because he was disguised as just another one of the Zombies.

I went to the event. It basically is a very big, downtown, theme block party party. There were an estimated 20,000 attendees and 19,999 of them behaved well. The shooter was able to put a blemish on a local event that has been growing over the last seven years. The event organizer took all necessary steps to ensure there was a very strong law enforcement and security presence. I left about four minutes from the location of the shooting to go home. My heart goes out to the family of the victims and everyone that was effected by this unjustifiable act of violence.
