We had keggers and jungle juice parties at EOD School. We drank like fishes to relieve the stress of the hardest school I've been to. The pressure was constant and, right or wrong, folks needed to cope. Plus we were at the picnic area nest to the barracks so nobody was driving.

Is the Sky Blue. While slowly but surely the military is trying to curtail it's alcohol problem. It has been a mainstay of my career for 21 years. Always had a Keg at out Staff Parties at the Admirals Boat House CINCPACFLT. My Departure Party at NCTS Diego Garcia was a Cheap Wine Festival. Lots of drinking in my 21 years.

Hahahahhahahaha. Yes. Went to some pretty cool keg parties in my day, once on a farm by Fort Campbell and hosted one at my house in Fort Drum. It's been a while though

They were a normal part of Morale and Welfare till around 1991-92. Then they fell victim of Tail Hook Scandal and the political correctness crowd.

There were platoon parties and wedding events but there were always a fight rape or shooting as a result.

I am sure that there were such things but never where I was. We did have some cook outs etc. but they were more family style than drunken beer blasts.

Used to have quite a few of them on Squadron functions esp at Lowry AFB, CO, Hickam AFB, HI and Hanscom AFB, MA being places that stood out in My memory. There usually also was quite a bit of food to go with them. Its been a long time ago since I've been to anything like that though.

Hard liquor class 6, guys did crazy stuff at barracks parties, it was unbelievable " no kegs back then, we all made formation and PT
